I had fun writing this song yesterday. It's about how the physical things of this dimension are just symbolic of spiritual things which are the reality.

Spiritual Song: Colors

 

I wrote this song on October 11, 2025 and it's inspired by one of my soulmates. I hope to start a band with Balthazar and Tauranov called The Starcries so we can put music to these songs. Looking forward to God's mercy uniting us so that we can sing these spiritual songs which are very administrous.

Spiritual Song: Balthazar

On May 8, 2025 I wrote a song for Mr. Ringer whose angel name is "Balthazar". I have posted a video below of me singing it and the lyrics following.

It's based on how we met and some of the things we said to each other as we communicated in the early stages of our relationship in 2010.

It is a spiritual song because it draws from the foundation of truth and our experience in the new covenant so I think it will be edifying for the saints too.

Gender Roles

So here's a rephrasing of a joke I told today:

So a husband and a wife were discussing gender roles and the husband asserted that he needs to give the instructions and the wife must build with it.

The wife said he hardly ever gives instructions and the husband said that's because he only wants sex and she laughs when he wants something specific in the bedroom.

The wife asked, what more there could be to sex. The husband replied that there are things he would like to try.

The wife asked if they are weird and freaky, and the husband just gave her a blank stare.

The wife said she needs to know to decide if she can use her feet, get stepped on, or get plastic surgery for a third boob.

They laughed and the husband asked her if she would and the wife replied that she would if he washed the dishes :(

Great Jeans

I've always loved fashion but in the past 12 years I developed a keen interest in fabrics when my mom would take me with her to shop for fabric for clothing she would make me for special occasions.

In the fabric shop I get a lot of fashion inspo as outfit ideas come to mind as I view and touch fabric.

In 2020 I decided I would teach myself more about fabric and on 30 December 2020 I wrote the following post which I haven't published yet.

In light of that whole Sydney Sweeney's great genes/jeans play on words I thought it would be a good time to share this post.

History of Jeans

Long before denim boots walked the runways, Jacob Davis and Levi Strauss invented the blue jean in 1873. Historyofjeans.com further explains how blue jeans traversed the ages designed first as working clothes then became a symbol of youth rebellion popularized by James Dean, to becoming accepted as fashion by the 1970’s.

From 1965, retailers made them look used and worn out to make them fashionable, decorating them with patches and decals (historyofjeans.com) and today, jeans are known for never going out of style and are worn by people of all genders and ages.

What I Like About Denim Texture and Appearance 

According to historyofjeans.com, denim is tough and does not stretch making it durable which is the first obvious thing you will notice about its texture and appearance, and its durability is experienced in how long it lasts upon the using.

Stretch denim is a new type of denim and is a blend of cotton and polyester and a small amount of other fabric that makes it stretch.

When compared to the dungaree, you can observe the difference in quality between denim and dungaree because dungaree is a cheap, coarse, thick cotton cloth, designed for the poor, yet it is comfortable and easy to wear and practical (historyofjeans.com).

Denim is usually colored blue with indigo dye but other colors are used through sulfur dyeing (historyofjeans.com). I prefer the classic blue denim look because of the history of jeans and you can easily dress it up or down with most colors and accessories.

My Denim Story

All my life I’ve been overweight or obese yet fashion was an intense interest. As a kid, I would style myself and change clothes many times a day. As a teenager, I experimented with fashion, hair and accessories, even adjusting my clothes to stand out from the rest. 

I’m not saying it always looked good, but I was happy in my own little creative fashion world.

At some point in my yo-yo weight, I was slim enough to fit into these awesome blue bell-bottom denim jeans that my mom bought me years before and that my sister got paint on. They were tight but fit and I was so excited to wear them each time. I felt like a working woman proud of the paint stains on her jeans, never removing them because they were a mark of achievement.

I used to see myself in high fashion denim if ever I lost weight but now I am content with my eating habits and contemplating working on my discipline in exercise so I'm just a Business Analyst with food stains for now.

FITNESS EVANGELISTS

I hardly ever express on social media all the joking around I do off social media because I've always wanted to be serious about evangelism and I enjoyed sharing my dreams, visions, and other tokens of grace with my brethren. But it came to mind recently that I can use my sense of humor like the world does as click bait, to get people to view my profile.

Step 2 in becoming a comedian according to Grok is, "Write Material: Start writing jokes daily. Focus on personal experiences, observations, or absurdities in life. Use the setup-punchline structure or explore storytelling. Test your material with friends or small groups to gauge reactions."

So here is my first purposeful joke:

The written joke:

My cousin and I were at the mall the other day and some guys were promoting exercising at some gym. One of the guys approached me to try out equipment and an exercise routine and I was like in Zulu, "do I look like I want to exercise? Just leave me alone" and he just looked at me and laughed.

It got me thinking about how everyone in the gym is mostly fit and there are a few fat people there. So yeah, reassess your target market buddy. But yeah, it's ironic who needs exercise the most.

It was cute though what they were doing, scouting for fat people to convert into a fitness lifestyle. We need more of that actually.

Frances Ha (2013) - 'What I Want' Monologue

 

I chose this monologue to re-enact because it's mature and resonates with an experience I had when I first met my partner who was on stage at our Church and we caught each others eyes for a while and I just knew we had something.

The actress conveys this moment candidly as what she wants. Something secure and solid she can depend upon. She wants emotional security and I believe my version of this monologue below is really authentic to the role though obviously it's not as good as professionals.

I think this one is better than my other self-tapes, I am more natural and relaxed, but I can see why in movies you need a director to get everything from your voice, pitch, body language accurate.
